Fido holding my numbers hostage.

Hi there, I recently ported 3 numbers to public mobile. The process I followed is the usual fairly easy process (input numbers, wait for port to complete without contacting the original carrier myself, switch SIMs when the old one goes out of service). For some reason ever since I did, I haven’t been able to receive text messages on those numbers and I have Fido contacting me to get “approval” to port the numbers despite the fact that they are apparently already with public. What can I do to fix this?

I am not sure it’s Fido. I ported mine over from Fizz just tonight and at the end got a weird error saying something went wrong - but just while setting up iMessage access and which line is my main one. I got the approval message from fizz. But I don’t have call functionality on my number with Public and it’s been hours. I opened a ticket with them. Hope they can help.

@killycore

Most numbers are portable but only a few that can’t be ported.

Best to contact a CS_Agent to see if porting for all the numbers were completely ported over to PM and the texting issue.

Hi @killycore,

When you received the request to port over your number, did you respond Yes to the text message?
