Failed number port?

I initiated a port in of my number. Got the messages from the old provider, approved and everything. Now public mobile displays the number I was trying to port in. However if I turn off the old PM number on my iPhone, I loose connection. I also still receive messages at my old provider, so port in didn’t work but I can’t try again. PM says it’s not a valid number?

did you get an temporary phone number before you request porting?

you do not turn off that "old PM number" on iPhone.  So, you need to turn that number back on now.   Once number ported, you reboot the phone and the number will update

but did you get a text from your old provider on your old provider sim? did you reply yes?
