Just to add to everyone's comments, there is a place called Mobile Kilink. Here's the link of all Samsung phones they sell.
There, they would be able to tell you what will not only work on Public Mobile but what will have eSIM abilities. Plus, if you go into your Rewards section within your account, click on this link and you can get some discounts from there.

Here is the official list:

Does not cover all VoLTE compatible phones though.
Newer Samsungs made for the North American market are usually fine.
If you have a few preferences, just let us know and we can offer some personal experience.

Does this mean you are looking to get a phone model not intended for the Canadian market?

All the newer Samsung phones are compatible so any S20 or newer or Note 20 or newer or A35 or newer or Z2 flip or newer and all fold phones.
Only way to know is to check if there is an Add eSIM in the settings.
What model are you looking at?

Google should give you the correct information.
However, I have the samsungs s20 FE i bought from Koodo here in Canada and it is not eSIM compatible.
