I will travel to 2 places in USA soon, thinking to get Canada/US plan. However, I will use 2 different iPhones for the same phone number
A few questions
1. is there a way to do iOS Esim transfer?
2. If not, how to get Esim for second device and keep same number.
3. how long would it take to complete Esim transfer/port between 2devices if customer service is involved.
4. Is customer service available 24x7?
thanks

eSIM is now available for existing subscribers or who needs replacement eSIM or need to order another eSIM to "transfer" to new device

1. No, not at this time. eSIM offered to new customers.
2. No, can’t have the same number on 2 devices. SIM or eSIM only have one account on it. The SIM can be removed and installed on the other device…hassle and good chance of losing the SIM.
You can signup on TextNow app and pick a new number then login in on the same account on both devices to have the same number on both devices. Calling and Texting are free but you need WiFi to operate.
You can also use WhatsApp but you can only login to the account on one device. Operates through WiFi and both parties must have this app.
3. No can’t be done to transfer between devices. TextNow app would be your best option.
4. No, CS_Agent hours are 9:00am to 10:00pm EST. You can only contact them through private messaging on your phone or computer.

@mldemy eSIM is only available for new activation at this moment, you cannot transfer your existing eSIM to another phone and you cannot migrate your current physical sim to eSIM as well.
But this will change soon, probably in the next month 9r two. But likely not soon enough for your upcoming US trip

There is not yet any way to move esims between devices.
