Thank you! I will follow your instructions and do it tomorrow. Have a sweet dream!

hi @Lee80

Yes, you are correct.  If you need installing eSIM on the new phone, you will still follow the exact step to downlaod PM app the install:

download the app on your new phone and login.  If you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either Send email or Send voice message

Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM

Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $  and Install and follow the prompt to complete and purchase and install eSIM on your device (Since it is a first time eSIM purchase, you will need to pay the $5

And to add, the other suggestion about converting physical to eSIM on iPhone won't work with Public Mobile

Hi @softech and @samsunga31

Firstly, thank you so much for your kind supports. To make clearer my question, I am using Iphone 11 with a physical SIM. Now I have Iphone 17 pro Max with no simcard slot. So, as your instructions, I will download app Mobile on my Iphone 17 pro, log into my account to buy E-SIM at 5$, scan QR code to install /add E-SIM to use. Am I right? In this case, my phone number is surely the same, isn’t it? Thank you again for your instructions.

Hello @Lee80

If your iPhone 17 pro max has a sim card slot, you can use the tools within the phone to convert a physical sim to esim. Granted, this can only be completed if your phone has an physical sim slot.

Here's a VIDEO on how to do it directly from Apple.

If your iPhone 17 pro max doesn't have a sim card slot, then download the app, sign in. Once signed in, go to the account tab at the bottom, scroll down to "purchase sim card". There you can purchase one for $5. Note to self, everyone after this purchase is free of charge. Hope this helps.

Hi Softech,

@Lee80

eSIM cannot be moved.  BUT Luckily, you can get a replacement for FREE

To rebuy new eSIM for FREE, first, download the app on your new phone and login.  If you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either Send email or Send voice message

Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM

Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $  and Install (the system will check and apply a $5 credit to bring the total price back to $0 at checkout), and follow the prompt to complete and purchase and install eSIM on your device
(in rare case that PM charges you for the replacement esim, you can submit a ticket with PM support and ask them for reimbursement)

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/get-help/articles/esim-faqs

While direct eSIM to eSIM transfers are not supported, we do offer the option to transfer service from one eSIM to another by purchasing a new eSIM. If you are already using a Public Mobile eSIM, when you request a new eSIM, we automatically identify you as an existing eSIM user and waive the replacement fee, provided you meet certain conditions.

To qualify for a fee waiver when transitioning between eSIMs, you must meet the following criteria:
     *  The current Public Mobile eSIM must be actively installed in the device you’re transferring from.
     *  The eSIM must have been purchased at least 15 days prior to the new request.
