Double charged for extra data

Pamela90

Hello.

I was double charged for a one time top up of data. It was supposed to be a one purchase of $15 but I was charged $30.51.

I now can't use the extra data as it is "incompatible" with my plan. Is there anyway I can find a fix to this?

@Chalupa_Batman- It's just more of the confusing messaging and tricks this company is doing to suck more money out of customer wallets. How is it that the transaction says Sep 5 anyway?
@Pamela90- Are you in the Maritimes?

Yes it would be strange to get a text for extra data if already on 5G plan with unlimited data . But stranger things happen around here like accounts saying on hold on renewal and services still work . But I’m thinking maybe they got text excepted it and maybe next day or two had scheduled plan change to 5G plan . Maybe they will update us

So this is what confuses me. The text she got said To continue enjoying data services reply YES1 to get 1GB for $15 or reply YES3 to get 3GB for $30. If she is on an unlimited 5G plan why would she get this message? This would mean last Thursday she was on a plan that was not a 5G plan and your assuming at some point since Thursday her plan was updated to a 5G unlimited data plan. We're missing some information here.

Because OP says the add on say incompatible, this happens with 5G plans that are unlimited data

How can you tell if she's on a 5G plan?

@Pamela90  You have to ask support if they can reverse it for you . So you’re on a 5g plan with unlimited data no need for data add on . Use this direct link to support

If you were double charged you will have to reach out to a customer service rep and explain what happened.
