When did you become a customer?  Points (for the new points program) are added automatically to your My Rewards account based on loyalty, Community website contributions, referrals, and the amount of money spent.

No Points awarded for AutoPay?

Points which could make you pay less would make you earn fewer points ... so I can see the logic of taking AutoPay off the Points table.

But then there's no longer much incentive to signup for AutoPay. The usual fire-and-forget convenience. Some bonus data. But no actual money-in-your-pocket savings comparable what "competitors" offer. To me this suggests they'll have to fatten the bribe with more AutoPay bonus data. Telus makes money from AutoPay - it secures the revenue promise a little better (which makes the accountants happy) - it provides a solid link between physical identity and online identity (which makes "your" data more valuable to them and to anyone they sell it to).

Welcome to the community! You seem to be finding your way around alright enough. The regular rewards program gives you the ability to earn cash/credit in your account balance that can be used immediately and in most cases earns you higher reward value w/autopay and loyalty rewards than the points program.

If you don't regularily use a lot of data but need a little to tide you over for a few days til renewal then purchase the $15/1gb data add on. It's a one time purchase that doesn't expire rolling over every 30 days to supplement your plan data when needed until completely consumed.

If you find you are running out of data every month then consider scheduling a change plan on next renewal to a higher data plan unless you are on a grandfathered plan that you want to keep.

What is your current plan?

This means that you're on the old rewards program.  There are no points unless you switch over to the new points program, but I would suggest that most customers stay on the old program.  On the old program, any leftover rewards sitting in your Public Mobile account balance can be used to buy add-ons, the same as a top up can be.

FYI it's generally frowned upon to select your own posts as a solution here.

As I said, no one knows yet, it hasn't been disclosed how the redemption even works.

@Crissyls   do you meant how many points for data?

I saw the screenshot of the catalogue earlier:

10 points for 1GB of data

5 points for 200MB

This is just a fyi. Buying a data add-on is expensive at PM. It is better to find a plan here that will meet your data needs.

At this point you can just purchase addons as normal (with cash), otherwise, you would just earn them (points) over time, a lot about how this new program works is confusing and unknown at this time.

Have a look at the Catalogue. You need to earn points to use them. If you're talking about going back then you will already been given some points. But then too it might take a few days for the change to fully set in your account.
