Data usages at weird times?

I noticed there are some 12AM or 3AM data usages in my recent usages histories. It doesn't make sense as I am always at home with wifi at night or morning.

Is it the provider running data checks?

It may also be a summary of my daily usage, but if so why there are two entries per day?

I have the exact same thing.  I tallied up the data usages and it adds up to what PM shows as my month’s data usage.  Gigs of data at around midnight, this is really strange.

PM updates your data usage twice a day. Normally around noon and around midnight so your usage is not real time.
