Data usage on My Account is inaccurate

Data usage is very inaccurate on my account on the online portal. My plan just renewed yesterday September 5, and today is shows I have used 507 MB already. My phone only shows 17 MB used September 5 and 6 but for some reason my online account is wildly out of order.

Last month, I was at 800ish MB but my account showed more than 1024MB used. Something is not right with calculating the data usage.

507.24 MB used

516.76 MB left

Current Plan Cycle: Sep 05, 2022 - Oct 05, 2022

Well looks like it somehow got fixed today and now shows the correct usage. Maybe it was just a glitch on the online portal.

Well no, my phone tracks daily data usage and it is accurate.

Anyway, looks like my usage is fixed today, and it reflects the correct usage.

If you search this issue in the community, you will see a bunch of ppl having this issue including myself, the bad news it is still a pain to deal with and kind of useless, the good news you still have the correct amount of data and it should work despite the error, better news...apparently they are doing some updates in the next day or 2 so I am hoping it will fix this issue...fingers crossed

@rutpat12  - plans are 30 days here at Public.

 

You may notice your " Current Plan Cycle: Sep 05, 2022 - Oct 05, 2022" actually includes 31 days. I don't feel this is an accurate representation of your start and end dates.

 

I think your start date of this cycle is September 6th. How does this help you in your predicament, well, it doesn't really. I think though you are seeing your previous cycles cache data details.

 

When logged in with a tab through incognito mode, can you then click on the circle/arrow button to refresh your information? Or, just wait until today is up for your plan to fully renew for the next cycle, then see if numbers reset.

@rutpat12 did you try using Incognito mode to login to confirm you got the latest non cached usage ?  

 

Using phone counter is actually a good way to cross reference the usage.  But make sure you either reset the usage every 30 days manually following your PM cycle start day.. or  use those app that can auto reset every 30 days for you

  On Android, Data Usage Manager is a good one.  IOS,  try My Data Manager

Don’t rely on your phone counter app. The app counts on a monthly cycle.

PM is on a 30 days cycle.

Your account is update to date on your data usage.

the system there is a new design but everything is fine. after trying to use the computer's browser, clearing cache and cookies and using a page in private mode,

and in the main page, click the small circular arrow icon in the lower right corner to update.
