Hello,
so my cellular data and roaming data are both turned off, yet my account shows that data is being used at night while I’m sleeping…
why is this happening?

@Isabelle777 , the way to safeguard against consuming mobile data when connected to WiFi is to turn off WiFi assist. Doing so is pretty straightforward for iPhones (menu item). For android, the setting is a developer option.

@Isabelle777 From what I understand, Public Mobile adds up your day's data usage once or twice a day, including at night. So it isn't that it is using data but just updating in your account what you used earlier that day.

@Isabelle777 - the detailed data usage in your My Account will show in 2 different times within a 24 hour period. It does not reflect when the data was actually used, just what was used within the last 12 or so hours.
So for data used this morning, you won't see that detailed info. until this evening or even tomorrow morning perhaps.
Also, go by what is left in your overview section, or call 611 to get the most current balance.
