Personally, @Applecat123 , I like to roll down the windows, turn up the radio, throw on the sunglasses, and flip back the roof (if a convertible), and 'cruise' along the highway.

@Applecat123 I've never tried it when travelling at sea but presumably a voip app like Fongo would work using the ship's or other wifi. It would have a different phone number from the Public Mobile service, and I think needs an add-on to get 2FA, but for regular voice calls and texts it's a potential option.

If wifi is available you can use apps like WhatsApp or text now

You will need to connect to the ship’s wifi but there might be a charge.
If your ports are in the USA. You can purchase US Roaming Add-on while the ship is docked.
No roaming is offered outside of the USA or Mexico (requires Canada/USA/Mexico plan).

no provider gives you roaming at sea, or you need to use those special mobile eSIM. Best to use cruise internet
on land, PM only had roaming in US and Mexico. If other ports in other countries, use travel eSIM or travel sim card

@Applecat123 best to bet travel esim for cruise or just use the wifi on the ship
