I am going on the cruise to Alaska and am wondering my subscription of Canada/USA with 50GB unlimited text etc, would I pay extra due to roaming charges while on the cruise? Please lmk, appreciate any comment.

The above isn't correct. Public Mobile does not have any system in place to charge for pay-per-use charges.

If you have an appropriate plan or add-on (plus roaming enabled) with a supported somewhat modern phone then you should have a seamless connection with a US cellular provider while on land in Alaska
The same cannot be said while you are at sea (unless you happen to be within range of land based cellular towers) as maritime vessels do not enjoy the same connectivity which we enjoy on land
Cruise companies like to sell expensive wireless packages while on board the ships because there is no alternative — or just enjoy the cruise and don’t worry about being glued to a device
There’s also cellularatsea.com if you absolutely must have connectivity at any cost via satellite

just make sure to enable Roaming to be able to use data. You also will need a VoLTE enabled cell to be able to make calls whilst in Alaska. Here's some light reading while your aboard...

PM is prepaid, and you won't pay extra. So, if you used all the data, it will simple stop working
And you won't get any network signal while your cruise is away from port
