Hello,
My credit card was recently renewed and I wanted to update the card details for auto payment. I tried several times over two days, but the change keeps failing with the message:
"Unable to Process Transaction
Sorry, we are unable to verify your credit card information, so this purchase could not be completed. Your credit card has not been charged."
I tried completely removing the card and registering it as a new card (as opposed to updating) to no avail.
The same credit card number worked before the renewal, and the new card works elsewhere. For the time being I registered a Visa Debit card instead to prevent a service disruption.
For the record, I called the CC issuer, and they say they have not seen any attempt to access the card from Public Mobile.

I had exactly the same issue, solved 2 days ago.
The problem is in Public Mobile's server, don't waste your time calling the bank. Make sure your registered profile data is exactly the same as in the Credit Card registration page, line by line.
Most rejects must come from here:
-Make sure your registered profile postal code is written without space (6 characters), and you enter exactly the same data in the Credit Card registration page.
-Make sure your registered profile address is written STREETNUMBER STREETNAME (remove any mention of an apartment, even if it worked before), and you enter exactly the same data in the Credit Card registration page.
Good luck! You'll need it.

Fantastic! And...oh duh...of course...that's one of those other things to try that we all missed remembering.
Good you got it going.

I have just tried using Chrome instead of Firefox (both on Ubuntu 16.04), and the credit card was accepted. Strange...

So yes...your cc. Is it valid? Can you use it online? Does the address match exactly in both locations? If you have a unit #, don't put it in the unit # field...put it in with the street address. Some even say to not include the last number of the postal code.
Thanks. The credit card is valid (I sure hope so!), works everywhere else (including online) and the address and postal code are exactly as the ones I provided for the Visa Debit card, which was accepted.

@elahav @Carld123, I must have misread the part regarding the visa debit, and did not understand/realise you actually registered the the visa debit. Once your renewal goes through then follow the suggestions of @Anonymous those are the 3 most common causes for failure. The postal one works when your cc address has a space in it between the first set of 3 digits
If none work then you will need to get mods involved. Too many unsuccessful attempts could also block the card in the system.

As mentioned in my post, I registered a debit card instead, so I don't see why I should buy a voucher and pay a fee.
How do I deal with the credit card issue? Is it not by posting here?
In your case, no you don't need to now. Ya done good.
But just for clarity, yes, the online voucher place charges a fee but it generally nets out to be a little bit less than what taxes would be if you bought it at your local store. This might not be true for Alberta that have no provincial sales tax.

@Carld123 we all try the be helpful. No dog houses. Unfortunately the system is broken. And we have to come up with work arounds. To get service going. If the wait times were normal (same-day) then we would not be suggesting options that cost extra money.
Take my situation last month bought 2 vouchers from 7-11 for 140$ the 40$ one worked the $100 didn't. I ended up waiting 48 hours for mod and then another 10 days for the investigation. Needless to say I had to use the phone so I paid another 100$ to get the service running.

And i admitted it...lol...place me in the dirtbag citizen category...lol

My bad....

@Carld123 did you read the original post, credit card is not processing, therefore no there were no charges/payments. You can buy a voucher with credit card so the net effect is no difference. But getting the line working without waiting for mods. Or doing all the various tests for trying to get the cc to work.

Your the most helpful here....makes sence what you said...but..some customers spend there last few bucks whether its cash or credit...and then they are tapped out...cant afford another voucher..to pay for what they all ready paid for..i know you help out big time here...but ..things need to change..low prices attracts low budgets.....not bashing..just saying....
