Contacted by a competing carrier

Vinayak

Hi,

I was contacted a few days ago by Rogers to switch to them for the same plan (Canada-USA-Mexico calling; 1000 minutes of International Calling; similar data allotment per line) as what our two lines have with Public Mobile (PM) at present but with the additions of being able to use our phones:

1. To call the USA from Canada and

2. To use our phones in any country in the world without any roaming charges,

all for $28 per month per line before taxes.

We are happy with our PM Plans at present but were just wondering if PM is able to match this offer, or even beat it.

Thank you.

@Vinayak

With your PM plan, you are able to call US numbers from Canada.

The big difference is the international roaming, which Public mobile does not offer.  However, you should clarify with Rogers about free international roaming. Roger customers are able to receive 2FA texts while roaming outside Canada and US, but not sure free data, calling and texting.

Rogers also are known to increase prices more often than Public mobile.

Saying that, Public mobile does not match other companies offers.  Since no contract, you can port anytime you want.

as far as we know, PM never match individual offer like that.  So, if the new one is better, sad to say, but maybe you should port out the line there
