Hello everyone....
Right now my family plans are all set the same: $40 month for 3 months/unlimited text/unlimited province calling.
When we travel across the boarder, does our phones simply "Stop working"? I am hoping the answer is "YES". I don't want any unexpected roaming charges, I just want to lose service until we come back into Canada.
Thanks!

@forch9307, That's the beauty of pre-paid. You buy what you want, and pay for what you bought. Can't be charged after the fact!

Thanks for confirming that. This also helps when we are going on vacation late next month. I thought I was going to have to remove the SIM cards from the kids phones to make sure I don't get any surprises!

I don't think Public Mobile can charge for roaming because the services provided are prepaid. So yes, your phones will not work.
If you are travelling to the US and need to use your phone, you will need to purchase the US roaming add-ons.

@forch9307 Yes, it will stop working. Since its a prepaid service, there is no overage charges.
