Changing phones on PM

Glenn1

Have iPhone 4 with PM and now want to change phone to Samsung Galaxy J3. Is there anything I have to do besides take SIM card out of iPhone 4, punch out to make it a nano and insert in Samsung?

Thanks

Hi @Glenn1

Yes transferring the SIM card will take care of your PM cell service.

Do make sure your phone is compatible and unlocked.

Note that certain models of Galaxy J3 (2016) are not fully compatible with PM:
- SM-J320H (Device does not support 4G LTE bands)
- SM-J320H/DS (Device does not support 4G LTE bands)
- SM-J320R4 (Device does not support 3G bands)

@Glenn1

Your Samsung phone should automatically configure  your APN settings once you put the simm card in the slot. Once you take the nano sim out of the housing save the housing just in case you need to use the sim in your old iPhone  or another device in the future.

If you use data then you may need to reconfigure your APN settings.

Nothing else to do. Just put the sim in other phone. It will work provided the other phone is compatible with PM network and unlocked.
