I changed the phone number using the public mobile app.
1. when I text that number (it’s my child’s phone) I get replies back from the old number.
2. When I go to login to the account public mobile was sending verifications to the old number.
it’s been 3 days. I was hoping this would resolve itself, with time, but it doesn’t seem to be. I don’t have a clue on how to make that change so these issues don’t occur. Anyone know ?

@Shayd , the current phone number and eversafe ID are both accessible from the account profile tab. Just check the current phone number information to see whether the number change has been completed. With respect to eversafe ID which is where 2FA texts are sent to, changing a phone number does not update the eversafe ID unfortunately. You need to select the manage eversafe ID option and update the phone number for receiving the 2FA code. I hope this clarifies the situation for you.

@Shayd Have you fully rebooted the phone? If that is on iPhone, make sure iMessage is not registered with the old number. What about calling? Do you get calls from the new number?

@Shayd have you tried changing it using the web version? Maybe theres an issue with the app not taking it? you can open a ticket using the orange chat bubble on the bottom right and a CS_Agent should be able to sort it out from the back end
