I’ve been assigned a new company phone number with a data plan that meets my needs. I’d like to keep my Public Mobile number but reduce my plan to the $20 month option.

However, when I try to manage my account online, I only see options to upgrade, not downgrade, my current plan.

Could you please assist me with switching to the $20/month plan while keeping my number?

Thanks,
Monther

Assuming desired plan is still available to NEW customers... Problem is I do not see $20 for NEW customers. Cheapest is $35.

Existing customers (with cheapest plan) have an option to upgrade to $23 plan with more data. NO IDEA what options have those with more expensive plans... Probably none...

@Yummy @Vinnick Not sure where you are looking at plans but there certainly is a $20 plan as well as $23 and $26 plans.

You can get ONLY plans you see on your account.

Agent cannot switch you to any other plan so no point opening a ticket.

i wasnt suggesting I was asking if that would happen.

given that it does, what can I do? I over estimated how much data I needed and im paying for 59 gigabites too many. i dont know what to do.

@Vinnick and @Monthermohammad as I see it, your only option is to port out to another company for a month or so then port your number back to PM as a new customer.

if you cancel the subscription and buy a new one through public, will that erase your phone number?

@Monthermohammad in addition to the info given by @hTideGnow and @hairbag1 , it might worth noting that if you see too good of a plan in your app (that supposedly shows the only plans you are able to change to) you might want to ask CS first! /s

sorry @Monthermohammad  you can only change to plan offered on the change subscription page on your My Account.  If the $20 plan is not there, you cannot change to that.  PM support cannot help with that either

@Monthermohammad

unfortunately, once you have a higher value plan, it's not easy to downgrade plans. Log in to your account to see the only plans you can opt for.
