For changing the Self Serve e-mail address, yes, the ticketing system prompts for the additional security/account information.

That type of information is required when submitting a ticket for this. The ticketing system prompts you for the extra account information automatically. There shouldn't be any need fo any back and forth between the customer and the CSA about the account verification.

Have you ever changed your sim card, email address or account pin # thru customer support? I have done all 3 several times and each time I have been asked for specific account and/or payment details each time in order to change those specific details in the accounts I manage. If your experience doing the same is different then that is very interesting indeed.....worrisome actually.

PM supporting is not in real time like online chat. In order to cut down the back and forth question and answer delay, I always provide my PM account number, my name on the account(not community name), current email address and my PIN# with my ticket. CSA never asked me for more verification related to account owner.
Edit: add the current email address to the list of my account info.

Contact agent as only they can do that. Do not forget to have community and self-serving account email in sync if you care for Community rewards.

Only customer support can do this for you. After verifying your account you will have to further verify that you are the account holder by answering correctly 3 out of 4 questions about your account and payment details that are not necessarily available for view on the user side of the account. Once you satisfy the CSA's requirements they will then change your self serve email. You can then change your community account email to match. Make sure you verify your community account email afterwards.

@Jeremy2022 - to change your email to your My Account/Self Serve you need to have CSA do it for you.
Two ways to contact CSA:
1- Put in a ticket through SIMon Bot (usually faster method to get in contact with the Public Mobile Customer Support) by clicking on the bottom, right chat bubble.

You can change your own email in your profile for Community Account.
