Cell Coverage

Hi everyone,

Over the last month or so I have been having issues with my service, mostly at work.  I work in Whitby, Ontario fairly close to Lake Ontario.  Now when I am inside the building I have next to no signal, to the point where I can not send text message (SMS).  I even have issues watching YouTube videos outside there.  I have been working there for almost 10 years and never experienced it before.  I was at the Oshawa Lake Park on the weekend and had the same result.  I am using an iPhone XR with eSIM.

The iPhone XR doesn’t have 5G. Only 3G and 4G/LTE.

Assuming that you are using a green Telus tower….are you close to one?

PM does have a good coverage in that area based on their coverage map.

Most likely building structure blocks signal... Check with your colleagues how is their coverage if they use the same or other providers.

@Cdnfenix36

try manually selecting 4G or LTE instead of 5G...see if that helps.
