Cannot receive SMS messages

I will randomly not be able to receive SMS messages from one contact on my list. It will be working fine and then cut out without me knowing. I can receive MMS messages and also send both SMS and MMS messages fine however. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Might want to try a network reset on your phone.  note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords.

It might be an issue from the sender of the text also.

You are receiving texts from other contacts with issues, right?

Might also try your SIM card in another working phone.  This will help determine whether hardware issue versus PM service problem.

I am on an android. I have tried clesring cache and rebooting and have tried both google messaging and samsung messaging. They both still randomly stop working with them.

"randomly not be able to receive SMS messages from one contact ", so, you still getting it occasionally and not like you are not getting it from him at all now?  if you are using Android, try to clear cache first.  If still not work, try install Google Message and set it as default messing app

See if the SIM is seated in the SIM tray properly. If it is fine then reset the network settings and reboot your phone by powering off then back on. You will need to re-enter your home wifi if you have one.

See if that helps.

If you recently ported over to PM then you need to contact a CS_Agent to investigate your issue by clicking on the Chat bubble then type in Submit a Ticket to contact an agent.
