I just canceled my previous mobile provider and ported it to Public. But the phone line now doesn't work.
The eSIM shows Public but no phone number assigned.
Please help

Hi, thanks for the replies to my query earlier. It now works and you are right that I need to have the old carrier line working before I can port since I need to reply to their SMS about if I want to cut the service. Turns out that the porting was not as quick as I thought. I was impatient as I turned off the phone and turned it back on after a few minutes and saw that my number had not gone to Public. After 30 mins, it was ported.

Hey there, when doing a port you must keep the pervious mobile providers account active until the port is complete and you have access on the Public mobile side. I would suggest contacting your old mobile provider and asking them to reactivate your number, then start the port to public mobile again. once completed, then cancel the previous mobile prodiver.

you need to work with your old carrier first if you still want to port in the number. They have resume the service first for the port to work. Check with them first. Once set, you can then call PM porting team to re-request the port. I will send you the porting team number to your community inbox
