Cannot make calls.

Cannot make calls. 
Number had 1 prior to phone number. 

This is the second time quite recently that this has happened. 

I have a disability so it’s imperative that I have a phone.

Same for me, for the last half year or so. Have you fixed your issues?

I have been having issues with my phone not able to make calls, when I try it would not ring and then it would end the call. Or I would have a message come up that Network connection cannot make call or Network busy. Or a message will say I Cannot Make Voice calls ! Text message sometimes message says Waiting to connect or failed.  I haven't changed my plan. What is going on? I have been with Public Mobile for a very long time. it's important to have my phone working. Please help

log in to your account on a laptop and migrate to Add-on Usage..then click the little spinner on bottom right side to confirm LD minutes are still available.

@robinbird which US area code?? can you also try to call another random number on that area code?

@robinbird do you have the US LD addon or the Holiday LD bonus from December??

 

Try reboot your phone and make the call again

And to confirm, which US  area code you are calling??

Have long-distance add-on but keep getting message 8-UV-1 message & can’t make calls.

@robinbird   do not leave it with 5G.  You can try to leave it on 4G and see if voice works still.

I figured out how to switch in iOS to 3G and was able to make a call. But then it switches back to 5G. 

Why is there so many problems with making calls?  I might need to switch companies because in an emergency I need a phone that works.

m on a $30 plan 


If you are running an android device, go to settings and search for preferred network type.  I am not as familiar with iOS but I would assume there is a similar search capability in settings.

any chance you are on $15 plan with limited outgoing minutes?

 

try to reboot the phone once.  But turn it off for 5 mins first, then try again

 

Also, try to change the preferred network type or network mode to 3G ONLY or WCDMA only and see if it works

I don’t know about incoming calls. I haven’t received any today.
