Can't log in or sign up

Hi.

I had an account for a while that I think I cancelled about 1.5 to 2 years ago. I am ready to come back. I went to sign in yesterday while at work and  I can't remember if I tried to log in using my same email address from last time or if I tried creating a new account. It might be the latter as I think my account was cancelled due to inactvity.  Anyway, it got to the point in the process of asking me if I had an existing SIM card. I stopped after that as I was at work and that old SIM is at home.

I am now at home with old SIM in hand, but went to sign in again and I put my email address and password and it asked me to resume activation. So I click on that and all it does it take me back to the log in page and I am logged out. It will not let me sign in. So I go to sign up as a new account and type in my email address, first name and last name and it sends me a confirmation code to my email. I type in the confirmation code and it says it's incorrect. Happens over and over again.

I've tried this on my work laptop and home laptop. Doesn't work. Any ideas?

If I have to get a new SIM card regardless, okay cool, but it will not let me sign up for a new account since the confirmation code it sends never works when I type it in.

You can only refer from an active account. But you can ask here or find any multitude of them out in the wilds.

I wasn’t referred by anyone as I used to have PM and decided to come back. Is there any way I can refer myself. Though I don’t have a code to put in. So I can’t, correct?

Hey @rhymobot 

If it's been a few years since you've been here, you will need to sign up again with a new account. Since you left, Telus - Public Mobile have changed things here to protect it's customers with 2FA authentication. It's a pain yes, but it's great for keeping your info safe. If you've already started an account again, you will need to finish things off using the PM app which you can download from the iOS app store or Play store.

when was the last time you paid?  if no payment for over 90 days, the account would be closed.  If you need to come back to PM, you will need a brand new sim card, get it from Telus or Koodo store or Amazon

And sign up again using the app.  Use a new email address (the old one could still stuck in the system and cannot be reused)
