I switched to Public Mobile with an eSIM yesterday, replacing my Bell eSIM. I did receive a text saying the number transfer was successful.
Tried entering phone number in "Settings", but it won't save.
Tried "Reset all settings".
Can't send or receive texts. Some notification about disconnecting in 29 days appeared.

I finally got it fixed. I had an eSIM with my old provider 🔔 and got an eSIM from Public Mobile which then replaced my old eSIM so I couldn’t reply to the 🔔 text message to approve the port of my number from them. Also could not receive SMS or phone calls AT ALL, but had data and could still MAKE calls.
Had to call 🔔 “customer service” and spent about 45 minutes on the phone with them to get it all worked out, but Mary from PM Customer Service was very helpful through the whole process. MARY IS A ROCKSTAR!! 🤩
lesson learned: if you have an eSIM with your old provider, get a physical SIM from PM to port your number so you still have service until it’s all transferred.

Check your Apple ID>Sign-in & Security and see if your number is listed.

Yes, Public Mobile is my network, I can make and receive calls, I can use data. Just can't send or receive SMS/MMS messages. So all those "non-blue-bubble" contacts think I'm ignoring them...

with the PM sim in the phone...do you see Public Mobile as your network ?

Already tried that twice. Even turned off iMessage, reboot phone, turned back on. No luck.

let's start with an EZ one...try rebooting your cellphone...see if that helps.
