Can't call in or out

Fashyne

I am in the USA and I can't call Canada or receive calls from anyone.

I followed the instructions from yesterday IT to use the T-mobile and version provider. It worked to make two calls and then this morning it doesn't work now.

Someone in a IT replied to the ticket and wrote he can't help me. Wtf

Can someone help me? I am calling Canada from the USA.

@Fashyne   The A50 is not on Public Mobile's "certified" VoLTE list so that is most likely the problem.  If you can manually get it to connect to T-Mobile's 2G network it should work but that depends on whether they have shut it down yet in the area you are in.  It seems that T-Mobile is shutting 2G down bit by bit and area by area.  Since data should still work you can download Fongo or TextNow from the Play Store to make phone calls as already suggested (although you will have a different phone number).

My phone is a Samsung A50. It works usually with other couriers... cause I used it in Dec.

Thanks for your help.

@Fashyne  It worked briefly but now doesn't. I just don't get it. How it can work and now not.

Possibly you were connecting to T-Mobile on 2G but that is being shut down like 3G already was in the USA, and service is spotty.  What phone do you have?

Thanks for your advice. I tried all couriers and it won't work. AtAt and T-mobile and version. It worked Friday night calling. Now it doesn't.

@Fashyne Assuming data and texting work, just not voice calls, then it does sound like a VoLTE problem as noted.   The USA no longer has any 3G network which is why  you need a VoLTE phone there.  I'm assuming you have a Canada-US plan or add on?

@Fashyne

You can manual connect to AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon in your cellular phone settings if your phone is on the whitelist of phones that will work in the USA.

It is because your phone is not on PM's VoLTE whiyelist and cannot use VoLTE.  If you can connect to T-Mobile, try xhangi5thr network mode to 2G and hope you can still use the old 2G networks.  IF can't connect to 2G, you will have to use VoIp app like TeztNow  to make calls using the app
