I can't send sms messages, I'm on iphone and I can only send imessages. I've checked my apn settings and they are, sp.mb.com. However I can receive sms messages from andriod, just cant respond.

@goalie1 If still stuck try:
iPhone best message settings: Settings >> Messages: iMessage ON; Send as SMS ON; MMS ON for PM >> Send & Receive: should show phone number and Apple id email address

My messages aren't working either. I just ported my number over, idk if that's the reason but everything else seems to be working.

Check your settings and ensure MMS is enabled.

My google pixel 4a broke, oled bleeding (still could send messages), I then switched to a back up phone - one plus 5 and I couldn't send messages on there. The problem is still persistent on my iphone.

Is this something that started occurring recently or it was always like that?
Make sure in your iMessage settings that your phone number/apple ID are both enabled to send/receive texts.

APN settings don't do anyhing for SMS. You will want to make sure that that the SMD option is enabled in yout messaging app and that yout SMSC has been set correctly.
