I'm on ODSP and money is tight.My phone is on its last lags can I still buy a 4g phone instead of a 5g phone as the cost is way cheaper for 4g.Im in Kirkland Lake Ontario.Will 4g still work on a 5g network when we go 5g.

of course you can use 4G. Those 5G phones are more costly just becaue they are newer, not really because of 5G
and you can stay on a 4G phone for very long, so just buy
But what phone you are buying?

Are you looking at a particular phone? There are cheap phones at Staples and other electronics departments that would likely work here.

All Public Mobile plans give access to the same networks, so yes - assuming that your phone can connect to a 5G network in that location. When Public Mobile advertises plans as being 3G , 4G, or 5G, that's only about the maximum possible speeds.
