I have a Can/US plan and I am presently in the US. 

My data and texts work, but I can't make or receive any calls. 

I check my plan. It's ok. I am on T-mobile. 

I am roaming.

Any ideas?

It won't let me connect to AT&T.

@Clooch27  Try both AT&T and T Mobile with phone to 4G/LTE

Last year we bought the 15 day roaming plan and had no problem.

When I put it on 2G o get no service.

I Get the service icon on LTE/3g/2g

Yes I have VoLTE

By any chance, does your phone work with VoLTE while you're in Canada? Unforunately, Public Mobile is very restrictive about which devcies they will allow to use that service. Without VoLTE, the voice service just won't work well in the US.

@Clooch27  Try set phone to 2G and connect to T mobile 

add also try phone on 4G/LTE and try AT&T and T mobile

hi @Clooch27 try connect T-Mobile and change network mode to 2g id there is one, if not, leave network mode automatic
