Last night I made a 911 call to report shots fired near my house. About an hour later I noticed I had received a voicemail back from emergency services telling me they had investigated but found nothing. I had the phone in mt hand all this time and it did not ring! I looked into a message I got and it said all calls were blocked for two hours after a 911 call, "to allow you to concentrate on the emergency"! They evidently did not even allow emergency services to call me back but did allow a voicemail to be left!
Is this a feature of Public Mobile or a law or what? Is it something that can be turned on or off?

@kb_mv Good find. That definitely seems like it.
@Croft Apparently Samsungs unblock any blocked numbers in your phone for 2 hours. There must be another reason why the call went straight to voicemail, such as a temporary drop of service.
In any case, the message you received has nothing to do with Public Mobile.

Everything is working now. I will try to formulate an intelligent question to submit. Thanks for the suggestion. I have only called 911 twice in 25 years.

It was a message that I had to scroll down to from on the home page of my phone. I tapped on it and it took me to the explanation which I may have misread. Another massage was that Emergency Services had requested my location which I think is related to the 911 enhanced service.

Samsung S22 phone. You may be correct in it referring to unblocking calls, it was about 1:00 AM at this point.

@Croft Are you sure the message wasn't regarding "Un"blocking all numbers for the reason below? Sounds more of a phone issue than Public Mobile.

I've never heard of that, nor have I ever experienced that after having placed a 911 call. Seems like it would add more risk to the situation, not less.
What do you mean when you say you "looked into a message I got and it said all calls were blocked for two hours after a 911 call, "to allow you to concentrate on the emergency""? Who sent you this message?
