Call dropping after a few minutes

Hello.

 

Recently started to experience phone call dropping  - estimate this happens less than few minutes into the conversation.  It has happened on my iPhone (13Pro), my wife's iPhone (Xs) and my daughter's (Google Pixel).  So I do not think it is handset related.  All our accounts in good order.

 

Appreciate any help.

Still having issues with dropped calls.  As I said this issue has come about only recently and on multiple devices and even outside the house.  All the impacted devices are on PM.  My son who is out east and also PM is not having an issue.  Any thoughts?

Thanks.  I have rebooted the phone.  Did you mean reseat (take our sim and put it back in) or just reset (reboot) the phone?

Hi @darkroast for voice, what matters is 3G signal.   PM voice ONLY works with 3G network and not LTE.

 

As I mentioned earlier , I do not think changing to 3G only will work as  you got inbound calls.  If weak 3G network,  it will affect inbounds more than outbound

 

Did you try reseat your sim card with reboot?

Thanks.  I do notice that when set to 3G, the cell signal strength indicator is full.  When I set to LTE, the indicator drops to one bar.  So does this mean my area has a weak PM coverage? I am in North Vancouver.

Changing the network type to 3g won't help in your situation.  As you're already in the middle of the phone calls, you would already be connected to that network anyway.

So currently it is set to LTE.  So you are suggesting I set it to 3G?  Won't this impact my data speed?  I recently signed up the 15Gb w/LTE plan.

What's your general location when this happens...only when you're at home or everywhere ?

Check in the phone setting if the voice & data is on 3G?

Go to Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>Voice & Data>click on 3G.

This could be the issue.
