I know I’m not the first or last person to complain about this but if I’m not in a contract and have a month to month plan. How can I not change it at my own discretion?
why offer promo plans if they alienate your clientele because they can’t get them but have no reason to stay. Why Not port out? I left public once because my 90 day plan didn’t have enough data. After 24 months I came back and now they offer my plan for $5 less with long distance minutes and roaming in Mexico also included. I want to change my plan, please!
any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I understand what ARPU stands for, @EaglesFan11 , I just have a different view of your interpretation as it relates to your situation.
I agree what your looking for should be able to be offered by Public Mobile.
They just don't do it.
Sometimes one-off exceptions are made by contacting the Customer Support Agents, but YMMV.

Thanks.
ARPU = Average Revenue Per User
making some money off of someone is better than zero. That’s my point. In fact because I pay $40 a month for it. They will continue to make more ARPU from me. All clients for a service like this should be treated as equals. If I wanted a contract, abuse me but I went month to month

I don't understand the comment, "Some ARPU is better than ZERO Arpu" as it relates to your situation, @EaglesFan11
I'm not saying I don't agree that users should be able to change to EVERY available plan that new subscribers can, just that almost all mobile service providers try to entice new customers with 'new activation plan' offerings.
You can try your luck with the Customer Support Agents who are employees of Public Mobile below:
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
- Use the ticketing system by clicking here , then Contact Us, or,
- Send a private message to Customer Support Agent by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged into your Community account for the link to work.
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.

This is a prepaid service. Acting like you have a postpaid service is silly. If I wanted Telus or Koodo I would have signed up there instead. I chose this service for this reason. I guess I can choose one of the other companies with the same promo that Public matched

They allow any plan below the amount of the plan to upgrade to the “Promo” plan. I can downgrade to a much worse plan than the promo plan but not the promo plan for even less money. I’ve provided this company with increased ARPU because of my high plan. If they don’t want to change it. They can lose my business.
Most public clients are savvy and will not be ripped off for no reason. They should figure this out before it costs them subscribers. Some ARPU is better than ZERO Arpu from clients

Users can only change plans to those displayed in their individual self-serve accounts, @EaglesFan11
The options for existing customers are different from new subscribers. This holds true for virtually all mobile service providers in Canada.
If you do elect to switch to an available plan, recommend changing on your NEXT renewal date as opposed to immediate plan change, as you won't be prorated nor receive a refund for partial cycle remaining.

basically, you can only select from the plan menu when you log in to your account. Most of the promo plans are aimed at new activations.
