Is yours still working?  I was fine on Vigin  (bell)  network until last week now only data and text.  I switched it to speakout (teslus) and its again working using telus. (3g)  thinking of flashing the rom.

@Dan2121 just to clarify, there is NO confirmation that 3G will end this year.

Only Manitoba has a confirmed 3G end date so far.

With rest of Canada, Telus and Bell has said nothing so far.  We have a well-respected Community member has said that 3G should be here for at least till the end of 2026 or even longer

So, if you the phone now, I would not worry about it too much. Just keep using it.  But if you are thinking to buy the phone, then probably it is better to shop for phone that is compatible with PM's VoLTE

Hello @Dan2121

THIS I can 100% tell you that currently, that phone will work on 3G. However, when 3G ends at the end of the year, the phone will no longer work unless Public Mobile adds it to their VoLTE list. And one VERY important note, as this will work in Canada on 3G till the end of the year, this phone will NOT work in the US. I've tested it. This phone is awesome and I love it. I understand it has VoLTE capabilities and it was made for T-Mobile in the US, one of Public Mobile partners, it's just 3G for now. Hope this helps.

Edit: Here in rural areas in Manitoba it will end is what I meant.

honest, there is a chance not.

But 3G is not dead yet.  Other than Manitoba has a complete sunset date, the rest of the Canada is expecting to have 3G for another 1.5 year or more.  But it is true that in some area, instead of two 3G bands, it might be left with just one band

hi @Dan2121

we don't know what happen.  But your phone still work now, right?

And when you are in a calls, do you see your phone showing only 3G or 4G?  if so, they both mean you are still using 3G for voice and not VoLTE.
