My question is does 5 GB of free data has an expiry date like for a month? Or will it expires once we consume all 5 GB data irrespective of the number of days or months. 

Also can we switch back to 15 dollars plans after two months?

Although it may suck to "loose" the 5GB, I think you may find yourself farther ahead to transition to the $15 plan when you are ready (after the free month)... especially if you also picked up the 2GB data xmas bonus!  And I'm assuming since you mention the $15 plan, that you're probably not as high data user anyway (perhaps surrounded by wifi all day like me 😉)

Remember, the 5Gb bonus is purely an incentive to keep you on one of the the $25+ plans, so you'd be paying $10+ more per month... or $120+ over the year

And with $120+ savings in your pocket, you can choose to buy up to 8+ x 1Gb addons (@$15 ea) if/when you needed them + the free "Holiday Giveaway: 2GB add-on" to help tide you over... again, if you picked that up.

The reasons I went with the $25 plan up front was because (1) I wanted the canada-wide calling, and (2) the 500MB + 500Mb (with autopay) easily handles my monthly data when I'm away from wifi (~500Mb/mo on average)... so really it fit my use case perfectly.

It will stay on your account until used up. Your plan data will always get used first before the addon kicks in. When your plan renews, you get your plan data back again to use up first.

Also can we switch back to 15 dollars plans after two months?

According to the terms and conditions the 5GB will expire if you change your plan, see last line in this screen shot.

"The 5GB one-time data bonus will be applied to rate plans of $25/month or more. Bonus data will expire if account becomes inactive or the rate plan is changed. Please note that the bonus data will be applied within 30 days of activation. This offer is subject to change without notice."

The free data stays on you account until you use it up...even if that takes several months or more.

If you use up your regular plan data before the next renewal, then the free data gets used until next renewal ...so it could possibly last the better part of a long time.

The 5GB add-on is a one time bonus that remains in your account until it is used up.

@yasserhoda , the bonus data does not expire and will only fall off when consumed.  As for changing to a cheaper plan after 2 months, that should not affect things.
