Bonus Data on 4G LTE

Hi everyone,

 

I went to my local wow mobile this evening to purchase a SIM card to take advantage of the 90 day 9+3 bonus deal for $150. When I logged on the computer tonight the deal was gone! I’m surprised the deal just disappeared when it’s not even midnight yet.... any idea if this has officially expired or is it just an error? I have messaged the moderators. I looked for the deal before I went to the mall to buy the card. Very disappointed.

The plan has expired two days ago. 

You could try to contact the mods and tell them about your situation. They might be able to honor it.

The one big exception has been during popular promos when the activation portal misfires and a queue builds. It really does behove everyone to have some type of backup for their primary cell phone service ESPECIALLY during activation/porting.

particpate a little if you can get a couple referals, and your pockets will get heavier

Thanks for the tip! i actually figured this out by reading a thread on redflagdeals. I went online and started the activation process and the bonus data was still included! got everything set up and even ported my number over from Telus without issue in under 5 minutes 🙂

@Gremlins345  I just logged into self serve, and  pulled up the planner it still shows the bonus data.  

 

I would try the to activate the sim and get to the plan selection page and see what happens.  I dont think it will invaliate the sim if you dont go forward.

Ever since Public Mobile brought back the targetted Freedom promo for like a day, I have come to expect promos to come and go without notice as if it is a while supplies last sale.  This just means that people need to act fast whenever they see a deal they like.

Nope, they announced the end of the $47/9+3gb/90 days plan, changed to $50/9+3gb/90 days. They didn't announced the end of +X gb promos...

 

As I said Friday, at least they gave a warning for that one (only one day, but still a heads-up)...

Now changing plans again!? I can't believe someone think this is a good business strategy... That is only a good way to get people angry at you... I mean, if you don't say right from the beginning "this is a flash promo for X days", so people know they have to run to the Walmart/Wow to buy a SIM and activate it right away, at least please don't kill that promo/new pricing less than a week after it's out!!!

It was 9GB plus 3GB bonus data and it seems like the bonus data offer is over. So that plan only have 9GB for $150 on a 90 days plan.

The promo was 45 a month after autopay while the reg price is 48 after autopay.  It's still a deal I think.

wow wish they had posted something... literally went to the mall to buy the SIM and by the time I got home it was gone! I literally started the process to activate it. I PM'd the moderator team hoping they might be able to extend it but I am not hopeful. Might hold off on activating for now in hopes of another promo.... still have a month left in my Telus contract and the prices now are just the regular rates.

Unfortunately I think you may have missed the boat on this one.  PM is very clear about there not being an extensions on promotions after the fact.

 

You could try to send a private message to @CS_Agent and plead your case but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

 

You can always sign up for what is currently available, then update your plan in self-serve when the new promo does come out.

It appears that Public Mobile has ended the bonus data offers on the 4G plans..

 

plans change on on a whim around here.  When you see a good on, you need to act fast.
