OK. So now I understand why. If the bank just reversed one of them, then there may not have been this issue. So now moving forward, using Public Mobile you will need to use vouchers for one full year. If you wish to continue with PM, go to Shoppers Drug Mart and pick up a voucher. You can load it by dialing 611 on your phone. Once the money is in your account, then you can make the payment and your phone will be back up and running. To me, this doesn't sound like your phone has been blacklisted. But as mentioned by me and @hTideGnow , we've asked you to use that link to confirm your phone hasn't been blacklisted. So please do use it and find out so we both have the correct answer. Thank you.

Hi @Britt5
can you confirm if you have checked that your phone was indeed blacklisted using the link above? If it is blacklist, likely it wasn't put it on by PM if you never ask PM to blacklist the phone yourself
if I understand correctly, you said the phone "been able to connect to any network with any company. " , it does sound like the phone was blacklisted. So, which provider's charge you did a charge back?
and you have been talking to just customers here, have you opened a ticket with PM support yet and confirmed if your account was suspended or the phone was blacklisted? If just the phone was blacklisted, your PM sim card would work on another phone. If your charged back a PM charge, only your PM sim would no longer work, your phone would still work with other company

@Britt5 wrote:It all started with me paying for my phone bill twice in one month, then I put a claim in with my bank about all the unauthorized transactions in my account and my bank got a refund for me for the second bill payment I made and I guess public mobile didn't like that and since then I havnt been able to connect to any network with any company.
*I have had this phone for a few years now with a couple of different other companies prior to this happening*
Hey @Britt5 This is how I'm reading your situation. I think others here may be confused.
You've had the same cellphone for a few years now which you've used on other services. You came over to Public Mobile and noticed that you were double billed once and contacted your bank to have the fees reversed. The bank reversed one of the fees. So far so good?
In my opinion here, what Public Mobile has done is not blacklist your phone, but have marked your account so you no longer can use your bank or credit card. Moving forward they will ask you to use a voucher to pay your invoices for one full year. Here's the thing. I have seen multiple times where this has happened to customers and CS Agents advise them to talk to their bank. So, this is what you've done. One payment was still made and one payment was reversed. Therefore, Public Mobile, if the above is what's happened (banning you from using bank account or credit card for one year) is in the wrong here. They already got payment, it was the extra payment that was reversed. Therefore you should not be subjected to that rule. I would suggest using the link provided before to contact a CS Agent and advise them what's happened and what I've said above. It is in my opinion that because the main payment was taken and the extra payment was reversed, they should forego this rule and allow you to continue using your previous payment method. Good luck.

so, you got the phone from another carrier and you reverse the charge with the credit card? if so, that is exactly why the phone was blacklisted
but if you only reverse the PM service charge with the credit card, then only your PM service would be suspended and not the phone itself (PM won't blackliste the phone because of a service charge reversal)
so, either way, talk to the carrier where you reversed the charge and only that carrier can help

Hello @Britt5
Check here to confirm your phone has actually be blacklisted.

Just a side note, if you purchased the phone from someone at some point, they may have had your phone blacklisted. I'm not sure how you obtained your phone so this is merely conjecture.
I would try this. Pull your SIM card out of your phone. Then go into Settings and find Network Settings and reset them and then turn off your phone. Then place the SIM card back in and see if you get service again. Side note, as silly as this may sound, make sure your invoice is paid up. Lots of folks tend to think they've been cut off when their credit card expired or the payment didn't go through. Honest mistake of course and it happens more than you think. Once again, just thinking outside the box at every idea.

hi @Britt5
why you think PM put your phone on the blacklist? From what we know, PM never put phones on the blacklist unless being asked by the customer as they lost the phone
did you buy the phone from marketplace or from Kijiji or those sites? Many got phones that not clean and hence got blacklisted afterward. You should check with the original seller instead

Public Mobile does not put the phones on the blacklist.
Usually carriers put phones on blacklist because people don't pay their account, but PM is a prepaid and so this won't happen. PM does not sell phones so there is no need for PM to put phones on blacklist, either
if you buy your phone from another person via private selling or from another provider, likely it is that provider putting the phone on the blacklist.
You can check with PM agent to get more information about why the phone was blacklisted. Please open ticket with PM support:
