I have moved to Alberta but I do not want to change my phone number from Sask. I have changed my address and my credit card information. Why am I being charged sask PST?

I'm too late to this party... but the work-around would have been to top-up with vouchers bought in Alberta.
Since taxes are applied at point of sale, the voucher would have the taxes applicable in Alberta (GST only). If you pay with your registered card the point of sale is based on your phone number, so it would have been SK (before you changed it, obviously).

I doubt if you can get a refund and probably not worth your time but you can try by private message a CS_Agent above.
Good luck.?😉

Sorry, but you're not likely to be refunded. When taxes are collected, Public Mobile has to remit that amount.

Ok... so my wife and I have now changed our phone numbers. Do we get refunded the tax or just eat it... because we just paid the sask pst 30 minutes ago.

Phone numbers are "mobile". They can be anywhere. The address is not verified or checked, it can be anything.
Log in and click Profile tab.

That doesn't seem right... so everything I have is in that phone number and the tax paid should go by where you live... anyway... how so I change phone number, then?

You need to have an Alberta area code number so you won’t be charged PST.
You can login to your account and change to a new Alberta number or pay the PST.

@pkarza Because your phone number is from Sask, so you will be charged PST even you changed your address. If you don't want be charged PST, you have to change your phone number from SasK to Alberta.

Tax is charged based on phone number. Address does not matter to PM so that should not matter.
