If I had a 2$ balance how could I use it up? Or can it never be used and I lose 2$?

The only way it would be "lost" is if you weren't going to renew on the next cycle or purchase any add-on's and move to another mobile service provider.
Then it would be gone.
Otherwise, it's money in the bank.

The payment system always takes funds from your account balance first then charges your autopay card the balance owing for your plan amount.

@Ckk_2194 the $2 will apply on next renewal so the bill will be $2 less. But , if you are leaving PM before renewal, then it will be wasted as PM is prepared provider, no refund

@Ckk_2194 Is that $2 in old rewards or $2 in new points?
If old rewards, the balance in the account will be used to offset the next renewal before the payment card is charged. If new points, then you need to accumulate 15 points ($15) before being able to redeem for an account credit or purchase add-ons which start at 5 points ($5) which need to done by logging into the Rewards page.

it gets applied to your next renewal...just add the rest to your account before next renewal date.
