@DennyCrane Granted, that's why I pointed out it would be a different number, although you can forward your cell phone number to the voip app, so it would only mean calling back from the different voip number if necessary.

@Phil_Adelphus VOIP is not a workaround to Wi-Fi calling. The whole point of Wi-Fi calling is for uninterrupted use of your regular phone number in low coverage areas.

@eddieO I wouldn't call a random customer service agent credible. They'd be the last to know this stuff.

@KD17 a number of months ago someone here in the forums said that they had heard from a creditable CS agent that it was in the works but no timeline was given. We still don't have it and have not heard anything about it so it's any one's guess if they actually offer it

@KD17 You can get around it by using a free voip app like Fongo but it will have a different phone number.

None so far but who knows. PM may have wifi calling in the future.
