The way to earn points is to:

• pay for a plan,
• have referrals of other customers to this service,
• participate in the community by answering questions and helping others,
• staying loyal to the service which rewards you after every year of being here

these are the ways 

• 5% on spending, plan renewal and addons 
• referring friends, 1 point every cycle per active friend
• Anniversary rewards. 10 points on anniversary day
• Community rewards, participate and help others.   Hard to say how many points, depends on overall participation
