HI @DonaldB there is really nothing much you can do with text phishing. Just delete it and don't click the link
Just like junk mail, it is something we cannot avoid 😞

Just received another one today. reported to CAFC Fraud and CyberCrime Reporting System. CRA refund fraud attempt. Luckily I am aware that the CRA never ever sends text messages for refunds or payments.

99999... are email to SMS. Even domain does not exist.
Just delete, do not block number (999...) as you might get legitimate email to SMS message.
Some scam never give up. Amazing how much energy is used to get few bucks (or whatever) instead of doing honest work.

Those numbers mean it's an email -> text. We can all do this. But yes this one is phishing.

@DonaldB Don't click, Just delete it
Spammers can easily guess your provider by the phone number and hence able to customize the text to make it real.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Everyone getting junk mail and phishing text all the time
