I got stuck at step 6 of the activation and I am to contact a customer support agent. That seems impossible. Following the link I am supposed to sign in again and then I get a white screen. Apple App.

If you just Ported in your number, the Code will still be going to the old SIM until the Port is complete. 

Wait 90 mins and if your Port was successful, you'll get the code. Or put your old SIM back in, and if it still has service the code will be coming there until it loses service where it will than come to the new Public one.

I think if you are getting a white screen on the Apple App Store. Close it down and click on the App Store and do a search for Public Mobile.

Once the PM app is downloaded then login with your PM login email and password.
