Upgrading from LG G8x to Samsung S24, connected to WiFi fine but it wants either a Sim card or some kind of transfer which i don't think old phone has. If i want to go with esim how would i do this, it does not seem to have this option?
Also any reason to do so or will the old sim card work?
Finally is there a way to transfer text message history from old phone to new? Is this perhaps built in and i just have not got that far?
TIA

In case anyone is wondering you can grab data from two phones into your new phone with Samsung Smart Switch. I now have the text messages from both my previous phones onto this new one!

You will need to login to your account on the PM app and make a purchase of an eSIM.

yes, you will need to insert your PM sim card to setup the phone
and yes, you can transfer the text message. You will need to install the Samsung Smart Switch app on the LG phone. Then when you start up the Samsung phone and it will guide you through the transfer process
Interesting. Must i install this app this before putting the sim in the new phone or can i do it after?
Also can i do the same and get my older text messages off my even older Motorola phone or is this a one phone thing? Would be great to have all old text messages from last two phones all on this new phone.

Good to know, thanks
Also if i wanted to do esim now without using a physical sim how would i accomplish that?
