HOW DOES ONE TERMINATE AN ACCOUNT WITH PUBLIC MOBILE? I HAVE REMOVED MY SIM CARD FROM MY PHONE. I HAVE REMOVED MY CREDIT CARD FROM MY ACCOUNT. BUT HOW DO I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT?

You are correct. Removing your autopay credit card is all you need to stop payment on your next renewal date. Without payment, your account will be suspended. 90 days after suspension, your account will be canceled.
Choices to cancel service:
1. Quick and keeping your phone number
Remove autopay credit card info to stop autopay and port your number to another provider. Your account will be canceled right away.
2. Slow and not keeping your phone number.
Remove autopay credit card info to stop autopay. Your account will be suspended without payment at your next renewal date. 90 days after suspension, your account will be cancel. You have 90 days to change your mind by paying and reactivate your account.
3. Make money and not keeping your phone number
If you have a plan with high demand, you can let someone to take over your plan. Your phone number will go with the plan to the new owner.

You can also Port out your number to a different provider If you are planning /wanting to keep your number.

you don't really need to terminate the account.
Just remove the Autopay , or even remove the credit card as well. Assuming there is no Available Fund in your account, during the next renewal day, PM cannot get the money to renew and your account will be in suspended stage for 90 days.
after 90 days, the account will be fully closed and you number will be gone.

Please also be mindful of using all capitalization. It may come across as yelling.

You can remove autopay and if no payment after 90 days then your account will be deactivated.
