thanks both for the clear answers.  Going out and buy the new phone now

@Ser8en

Yes, both will work.

With Samsung S series, any model from S22 will work on PM's VoLTE.  And with A series, anything after A15, A35 and A55 will work

Ithen will S24FE or S25FE work when 3G dies? the link needs IMEI to check but I don't have the phones with me to check

@Ser8en

S9 itself is compatible with PM network but not whitelisted with PM for VoLTE. what it meant is that it will work without issue now, data in 4G and voice in 3G. But once 3G is gone, the phone will not be capable with voice calls as it cannot use VoLTE. In fact, you might see voice calls no longer as reliable as before because Telus is in the process of reframing 3G to 5G usage.

I would suggest it is time to start shopping for new phones

The Samsung S22 will work perfectly still on the pm network as it has 4G and 5G. You'll be just fine.

@Ser8en

first, every PM subscriber can use 3G,4G and 5G networks. So, if 3G network is decommissioned, you can still use the 4G and 5G networks regardless of your current plan. And the main effect to the end of 3G network is that all voice calls will be using VoLTE. You have a S22 and it is capable of using VoLTE on PM, so you have nothing to worry about.

if you liked you can also confirm the compatibility here
