2GB One-Time Data Bonus Not Working

Hello,

 

I have a $15/mo plan with autopay, so 250 GB of data per month. I also have a one-time data bonus of 2GB. This month I burned all of my regular 250 GB of data, but instead of consuming data from my one-time data bonus, data just stopped on my phone. Any advice on how I access the 2GB one-time data bonus would be most appreciated.

A lot of people get stumped by this bc it's just gone. It may be easier and less confusing to just keep the line there and either say used or 2048/2048 etc

Rebooting the phone did the trick, thank you! I'm now nibbling away at my available 2GB of bonus data.

Thank you for suggesting data warning/limiter settings. I should have mentioned I'm using an iPhone. I don't think it has that feature.

This sounds like a device setting as @dust2dust  alluded to earlier. Check your data warning and limiter settings under Network and Internet>> Mobile network >>Data warning & limiter

I have been told by Oracle that as soon as you use all you data, Plan's data or add-on or bonus that line will disappear from your account so you will never see 250/250 or similar.

Bonus data should seamlessly continue to proceed consuming after plan's data is used.

 

Try to reboot phone. Toggle Data on/off. If nothing works ask agent for explanation and help.

That is good to know that it disappears after the data is used up.

Mine still shows 0/2048...haven't teach it yet.

This isn't accurate.  The use of the wording "one-time" data bonus leads me to believe that this is the holiday giveaway data bonus.  This shows up in the account as an add-on.  The usage would never show 2048MB/2048MB.  The line vanishes after all has been used.

A couple data points:

  • This is the first time I've ever ussed all of my base 250MB in a month.
  • Remaining Data (MB) for my 2GB One-Time Data Bonus is showing 2048MB

While you are in your account, go to View My Usage for the breakdown of the data usage. Change the drop-down menu from 7 days to 90 days to view your usage for the last 3 months.

Do you have settings on your phone to stop usage? Do you see a line mentioning data on your my data & add-ons or over to the right in the promo box?

It should automatically withdraw from your 2gb bonus.

It is best that you login to your account and check the amount of bonus data you have left in your account.

You may have use some of the bonus data in the past when you have gone over your 250gb of data without you knowing.
