$10 Off for 6 months - Promo started on Dec. 15 but was advertised on Dec. 14

Hi,

Many users (myself included) joined PM after seeing the $10 off for 6 month promo advertised on the front page of the website on the evening of Dec. 14. We followed the call-to-action on the ad, signed up, ported over, etc., but then were told that the promo started the next day- according to this post:

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Announcements/Activate-any-30-mo-plan-online-and-get-...

Based on the brand image that PM is going for, i doubt there's anything nefarious about this early ad. Maybe it went up earlier than it was supposed to, I don't know. Regardless, my point is that it's unfair that the ad suggested the promo was on before it really was. People signed up expecting to get on to this promo (because the ad claimed it was on - the ad prompted the user to click through and sign up to get onto the promotion) but they did not. Even if PM's backend system can't get us Evening-of-Dec.14-signees onto the promo, can't the mods give some credit to our accounts for being mislead like this?

That is unfortunate.  You might want to try to contact moderator to see whether they can help in your situation.  No guarantees though...

I saw the ad on the evening of the 14th at the top of the home page, not on the forums (ie. here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/).

I came to PM after hearing good things about it and being referred by a friend.

Bought my SIM at wal-mart and activated online.

How did you see the ad?  What brought you to PM?  Where did you get your SIM and was it activated online or in a retail location?  I don't recall seeing the advertisement on the landing page of the forum before the announcement, doesn't mean it didn't happen I just didn't notice.
