$0 esim offer when switching from physical sim and renewing to a new subscription plan

I am an existing user that renews to a new plan tomorrow. I would like to switch from physical sim to esim at the same time to take advantage of the free $0 esim that comes with the new subscription...is this possible?

@w2burgaKen - if you are not attached to your phone number, than create a new account and phone number with eSIM. What would be your reason to switch to eSIM? Note, once you are using eSIM, you cannot switch phones easily (meaning the esim is not transferable, so you'd need a physical sim card) ; that is the benefit of a physical sim card.

HI @w2burgaKen sorry, no.  Esim is free only for new activation.  For existing customers changing plan, you need to pay $5

But to me, there are more pros for phsyical sim then esim.  If you ever change phone , you need to buy another esim
