The steps outlined below, to change the APN settings remain the same. Once the APN settings have been completed customers will notice a slight delay accessing services whenever they perform a power cycle, SIM swap, toggle between airplane mode, or when turning LTE on/off. Customers may experience a 30-60 second delay accessing voice and data services on HSPA, and up to a 12 minute delay accessing LTE data service. During the 30 second delay your device will display “No Service” in the signal banner area.
We recognize that there are still some issues, and will continue to work on improving the experience for our iPhone customers.
To access data, follow these instructions to change your APN settings:
1. Insert your Public Mobile SIM card into your unlocked iPhone.
2. Tap “Settings”
3. Tap “Cellular”
4. Tap “Cellular Data Network”
5. Change your APN values to match the table below:
*Only update the fields that are circled. Leave every other field empty
Good News: iMessage and FaceTime should work on all the plans which include Data and SMS feature

I think Luddite was a moderator? He helped me with all the APN settings... did you figure it out yet? Sorry was offline for a while!

Use that link I provided, that’s the way to send a private message to a mod/customer service rep.
Please dont let let it frustrate you, you’ll be so happy once it’s all done.
Keep using the rogers sim if it still works.

thanks rockdaddy,
very new to this but very frustrating
exactly who/where/when am I going to get any answers? I am used to simple human touch,..ie someone telling me maybe wait 24 hrs for # to port or some other fix

First of all, calling and texting have nothing to do with the APN settings.
It it sounds like you might have a failed port. Does your Rogers sim still fully work? Either way, I would send a private message to a moderator explaining my issue in full, try to include all the account details in your first message, also include the Rogers account info.

Hello,
new to Public via a transfer from rogers based carrier. ie transfer of #
the phone does not allow to call in neither does the mms work
when trying to set up the APN,..there is only the APN for the hotspot only
so there is not template to put in APN fror cellular etc
What is going on here? how do I get my fix?

i went to that link - it didn't help. it just told me the same settings everyone else has told me to use on this forum....
11-23-2017 09:34 PM
Oh, it's under CA (not pm)
11-23-2017 09:33 PM
I can't find PM in that list. Do you know what the abbreviation is for PM on that link to activate iphone 4? thanks

@Ferlea Phone 4 APN settings cannot be updated manually. You will need to connect to wifi, access APN iPhone 4 with Safari, then follow the directions there. This even works for iPhone 3g!

You have posted to a very old thread. In the future, start your own thread under the appropriate category and it will get the exposure and answer to your questions you're looking for.
I'm not an iPhone expert but it may be that the field isn't able to be changed because the device is still locked?! @Luddite, can you weigh in?

this doesn't work for me. only the first field exists on my cell data configuration. is there a link to download different hardware or OS onto my iphone 4?

I have the same problem as above - the current iOS does not show any options for changing the APN other than for tethering.
I set up my service recently and can't access any data. Don't get LTE signal, only registering as 3G. Voice and texts work.
Would appreciate any updated steps that need to be taken in order to get the data working.

The screencap for iPhone is REALLY out of date. The menus are comletely different now and I can't actually find all the options listed.
