I’m an existing customer; how do I redeem my holiday gifts?

  1. Between December 1st - 15th, we’ll send you a text message with your holiday gifts. 
  2. To redeem them, just reply “YES” and your free data and international minutes will be automatically applied to your account. 

I’m not a customer yet; how do I redeem my holiday gifts?

  • No problem! All you have to do is buy a SIM card and activate before December 31st.  
  • These gifts will be automatically added to your account within a week, and we’ll send you a SMS to let you know.

 

What else you need to know:

  • Add-on offers are available for all new and existing customers from December 1st 9:00AM ET to December 31st 2021 11:59PM ET
  • Limit of one 2GB data add-on and one 500 min international calling add-on per customer. Add-ons are one-time only and will remain on your account until fully used 
  • $30 referral bonus is redeemable only once per customer. 
    • Customer must refer a friend between Dec 1-31st using their unique referral code
    • Friend must activate before Dec 31st 11:59PM EST
    • Customer will receive a $5 bill credit/month for 6 months, for a total of $30 as long as the referred friend stays with us
  • International calling covers the following countries: Canada, United States, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Venezuela

@Jeanne22    You'll get a text from PM's 4911 shortcode and need to respond YES.  It might take until the 15th of this month to receive the text, so not to worry if you haven't received it yet.  The holiday gifts are also not being instantly applied to every customer's account so some patience is needed to wait until the 15th..

@PubQuestion    Yes, I received the text many days ago and still don't have the gifts, but please just be patient as PM is experiencing technical difficulties in getting the holiday gifts added to everyone's account.

 

You can contact customer support if you don't get them by the 15th.  Hang in there!  😊

If customers do not receive their SMS offer by mid-month or are unable to redeem because of a specific situation, our agents can help with next steps. However, I would strongly advise customers to wait until mid-December and return if they are still unable to redeem through SMS.

Hey, I replied “YES” after I received the holiday gift message but didn’t get the confirmation that it’s added to my account like my partner. A day later I replied with “Yes” still no confirmation back from public mobile.

Anyone experiencing the same situation and how should I get the gift?

@Jb456    Noooo...I'd much prefer PM did an automatic add-on to each customer's account as they did with the very first 2019 summer data gift and then just needed the  announcement to notify everyone of the holiday gifts.   Would have been much simpler...oh well, all gifts are welcome, regardless  😁

@Jb456  there are complains either way.. so many came back and said why they didn't know the promotion.. (as they are not usual visitors for Community.). then some said they lost the password for My Account .. some don't know how to buy Add-on   (or scare of the term Purchase...)

 

it would be nice they just add to everyone, but I guess PM believes in the theory that You need to "work hard" to earn things  🙂

Your reply implies that customers experiencing the glitch will recieve a second text that assumingly will work correctly this time. Is that the intention?

 

Will it include a little bonus for those of us that had to wait? Like an extra 1GB?😁

Maybe the invite text should explicitly  bonus will be apply within couple days, many customers are too eager to see the bonus after a YES reply

@JJAF   yes, it is normal.  After replying a Yes, it might take a day or two or even longer for it to add to your account.  So, you have done everything correctly, just need to wait.

Wait till 15th dec to get the promo, if still you dont get it, contact support agents and create a ticket.

 

I havent received the bonus too. Still waiting.

Good day all, 

I have received the "More is Merrier" promotion text from Public Mobile, it states that I need to reply "yes" to activate the rewards or to add them to my account. I have done so but nothing has changed, nor have I received any reply from that message. I have replied with "YES", "yes", "Yes", and so on. Any idea what is going on? 

 

If you need more information on the situation: I have been able to text other people, so it is not a widespread issue. The number that public mobile is using is 4911. I get no error messages from my phone, it's an iPhone X. The message has to send as a green message, but that has been working so far.

@Linap   Administrators are aware and PM is trying to fix the glitch.  Don't worry, many others (inc. me 😊) have also not received these gifts several days after the text.  It will eventually get added to your account, just be patient.

@Linap    The message is legitimate, unfortunately, the roll out is encountering glitches and not going as expected but as long as you responded back YES, you will eventually get your free holiday gifts from PM.  If you've not received them by the 15th, then you may need to contact customer support and the gifts will be manually added to your account.

 

If you reply STOP to receiving texts from PM shortcodes, then you would lose out on future possible free gifts or other offers.

@Linap   yes, it is normal.  It takes 24 or 48 hours or longer for some users to see the bonus
